About Us

Northland Waste Ltd was formed in 2009 following the amalgamation of several independently owned refuse and recycling companies in the Northland Region. The Company is proudly 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

Northland Waste is a vertically integrated Waste Company involved in waste collection activities, refuse transfer station operations, recycling and a 50% shareholding in a Joint Venture Landfill with Whangarei District Council.

Under the Northland Waste Ltd consortium the partners not only remain viable in the market place but also ensure the future economic viability of a new Regional Landfill being developed in partnership with Whangarei District Council. The Joint Venture Landfill Company (Northland Regional Landfill Limited Partnership) also owns and operates Whangarei's Refuse Transfer Station and Waste Recovery Station (Resort). In addition to core waste disposal activities, the Joint Venture is making further investment in resource recovery activities based the Whangarei Transfer Station.

Northland Waste provides waste collection services to both commercial and household customers. The Company provide full range of refuse and recycling products with various bin types ranging from Wheelie Bins, Gantry Bin, Frontload Bins, Huka Bins, and specialist Recycling Bins.

The Company is also the largest collector of household refuse in the Northland Region. In addition to contracts with Whangarei District Council for collection of refuse and recycling, the Company also offers collection of prepaid bags throughout Far North, Eastern Kaipara and Rodney Districts
