Safety is everyone’s priority at Northland Waste and providing a safe and healthy work environment is paramount.
Northland Waste is also one of the first companies in the country to achieve the new Work Safe accredited Site Safe ‘performing’, having undertaken the audit in October of 2018. Northland Waste strives to exceed all Health and Safety legislation, regulations and approved codes of practice. Our philosophy is one of ensuring ‘buy in’ from all staff into Health & Safety processes by adopting a ground up approach in which all employees have a say on safety led initiatives.
Northland Waste is also an elected member of the Waste Minz Industry Health and Safety Steering committee which has recently released revised best practice guidelines for the operation of Waste Collection Vehicles and Resource Recovery Sites. Not only do we have a commitment to develop our internal management systems to the highest standard, but also working with industry to set the standards for best practice, demonstrates our experience and commitment to safety, and experience in the management of recovery sites.
